Sunamp Thermino 70 i
Thermino i (UniQ HW + i) - Designed to produce domestic hot water by using an external heating source (e.g. a boiler) as a main source of heat, this range of heat batteries has a standby heating element built in to act as a backup if the main heat source fails. It can be used as an alternative to a hot water storage tank, providing the same energy storage in a much smaller volume. The reduced size combined with the fact that the Sunamp does not need any venting allows for full flexibility in install location.
How is it charged?
An external hot water source such as a boiler or high temperature heat pump (HTHP) with a grid electricity backup via a 2.8kW immersion element.
What size of house should it be used in?
The Thermino 70 i (UniQ 3 HW + i) would typically be installed in a studio apartment, or for off-grid applications in a caravan or boat.
How much energy does it store?
The Thermino 70 i can store around 3.2kWh, or approximately the equivalent of a 65L hot water cylinder.
Note: This unit weighs 74kg and tilting beyond 45 degrees may damage the unit so keep this in mind when siting it.
Note: This generation of the UniQ HW +i range currently have issues with integrating with the Vaillant Arotherm heat pumps.
