Order confirmation update
We’re making a change to the emails you will receive when you place an order with Midsummer, either through our portal or via your account handler.
Currently, you only receive an order confirmation email. This occasionally leads to confusion, since orders get released once we have confirmed credit on the account or received funds and allocated stock.
With this update, you will receive an Order Acknowledgement email when you place an order, and a separate Order Confirmation email when the order has been approved (after account status and stock checks), so the warehouse can begin picking. Please note that for orders placed a long time in advance, Order Confirmations will not be sent earlier than within two weeks of dispatch.
As we always have live orders in our system, there will be a transitional period. You may have orders that already had order confirmations under the old process and may also receive another Order Confirmation under the new process. There may be other oddities - please bear with us, and let us know of any issues or questions. We intend that this will improve and clarify the stages of ordering with Midsummer.
