How does this competition work?

To qualify for this competition, either submit your Christmas cracker joke to us at the link above or comment on one of our social posts across Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter with your joke, before noon on Wednesday 23rd December 2020. Jokes must be original content and suitable for all audiences (e.g. no swear words or offensive content).

Important Dates

• 18th December - Competition goes live.
• Noon Wednesday 23rd December - Competition closes
• PM Wednesday 23rd December – Competition winners is announced

Selection Process

All Christmas cracker jokes will be put to the Midsummer Team who will be able to vote for their favourite. The winner will be declared by securing the most votes.

First Prize

• The winning joke will receive an 3kW AC coupled system with 8.2kWh battery [inc wifi dongle, 80A breaker and EM115 meter] 

Winner notification

The winner will be notified via telephone, email and other marketing communications channels on Wednesday 23rd December and hereafter. 

Terms and Conditions

• Christmas cracker jokes must be submitted to us via the form provided or by commenting on one of our LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter posts.
• This competition is in English. All submissions must be written in English.
• At its sole discretion, Midsummer Energy Ltd reserve the right to reject or at any time remove from the competition, or any joke that it finds unsuitable for any reason.
• Entries must not contain anything that could be viewed as indecent, inappropriate, defamatory, unlawful, offensive or represent a danger to health and safety. Any entry that is found, at any time, to breach these T&C's or that otherwise contains prohibited, inappropriate or unlawful content as determined by Midsummer Energy Ltd, in its sole discretion, will be disqualified. Midsummer Energy Ltd shall have the right to remove an Entry from any and all online platforms at their discretion.
  
• Jokes must not contain any copyrighted material and must be the entrants’ original creation.
• No purchase is necessary to enter the prize draw.
• This prize draw is open to UK residents only.
• Entries must be received by noon on Wednesday 23rd December. Midusmmer Energy Ltd accept no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach Midsummer Energy Ltd by the relevant closing date for any reason. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. Automatically generated entries and entries via agents or third parties are invalid and shall not be considered. 
• No entrant may win more than one prize.
• To enter please follow the instructions above. Entries via form completion or via social commenting are accepted only.
• All correctly completed entries will be entered into a prize draw which will take place in the afternoon of Wednesday 23rd December. There will be one selected winner only.
• The prize for the winner is a a 3kW AC coupled system with 8.2kWh battery [inc wifi dongle, 80A breaker and EM115 meter]. 
• Prizes are subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Midsummer Energy Ltd reserves the right to:  
• (a) substitute alternative prizes of equivalent value and 
• (b) in exceptional circumstances, to amend or foreclose the promotion without notice. No correspondence will be entered into.
• The winners will be notified via phone, email and other marketing communications channels from the afternoon of Wednesday 23rd December 
• The winner must claim their prize within 30 working days of the Midsummer Energy Ltd sending notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and Midsummer Energy Ltd reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these rules. 
• To obtain your prizes please arrange with Midsummer Energy Ltd 
• Midsummer Energy Ltd will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the prize draw. By entering this prize draw, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by Midsummer Energy Ltd for the purposes of the administration of this prize draw and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.
• The winners agree to take part in any reasonable post event publicity and to the use of their names and supported media in such publicity. 
• Midsummer Energy Ltd may disqualify any entrant whose entry does not comply with these terms and conditions (in our sole opinion) or who, in our sole determination, has acted in a manner that is fraudulent, dishonest or unjust to other entrants including, without limitation, tampering with the operation of the prize draw, manipulating or rigging votes, hacking, deceiving, cheating or by harassing or threatening other entrants or a representative of Midsummer Energy Ltd. 
• Midsummer Energy Ltd accept no responsibility for any damages, injuries or any other harm that should occur whilst entering this competition.
• By entering the prize draw each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. 
• These terms and conditions are governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
