Sunamp Thermino 300 iPV
Thermino iPV (UniQ HW +iPV) uses an external heating source (e.g. a boiler) as a main source of heat, and surplus PV energy to provide an AC power supply, which is supplied to the electric heater inside the Heat Battery. This is a great way to add water storage and increase the self-consumption of a PV system. The reduced size combined with the fact that the Sunamp does not need any venting allows for full flexibility in install location.
Only the Myenergi Eddi can be used as an immersion controller at present.
How is it charged?
An external hot water source such as a boiler or high temperature heat pump (HTHP) as it's primary source with excess PV charging when available.
What size of house should it be used in?
The Thermino 300 iPV (UniQ 12 HW +iPV) would typically be installed in a 4-5 bedroom property as a rule of thumb.
How much energy does it store?
The Thermino 300 iPV can store around 14.0kWh, or approximately the equivalent of a 284L hot water cylinder.
Note: This unit weighs 234 kg and tilting beyond 45 degrees may damage the unit so keep this in mind when finding a site for it.
Note: This generation of the Thermino iPV range currently have issues with integrating with the Vaillant Arotherm heat pumps.
